| point because you have complete reign over the beast so there are no real *secrets* anymore. Sharing the configs becomes part of the community desire for excellence. What eventually will be realized once this happens is that it all comes down to the ability of the hardparts to produce power and environmental conditions to support it and NOT have anything to do with the computer. Right now we are all excited about engine management because 1)we've never had it 2)we've seen the results of being able to tune it and the shortcomings of what we've had for 13 years and 3)it is right around the corner for us. But, that novelty will die down and people will realize that the computer is only one part in a very complex system. It is a necessary component if you really want to make big power. As we've seen with the SCC Project Z, EPROM chips just dont cut it at this level. More power means bigger bolt-ons and a tune specifically for your car. In the end though, it really is "how much money and how much time do ya got?" =)
